ingredients
- stale bread, cut into slices
- 2 eggs
- 100 ml lukewarm milk
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 3 tablespoons liquid honey
- olive oil
- artisanal vanilla ice cream from Kasterlee
method
- Beat the eggs in a shallow bowl with the milk, honey and cinnamon
powder. - Heat the oil in a deep pan.
- Place the slices of bread one after another in the milk and remove them
straight away. - Fry the bread for around 2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Arrange the French toast on 2 plates, dribble over the remaining honey
and serve with artisanal ice cream.
