The pumpkin regatta in Kasterlee is a unique event in Belgian: a kayaking competition in large hollow-out pumpkins. Guaranteed fun for young and old!
No challenge is too big for the pumpkin town of Kasterlee. Every year in October, the Kasterlee Kayak Klub and the Pumpkin Society organise a pumpkin regatta, a kayaking competition in large, hollowed-out pumpkins.
Relay race
The paddling race is unique in Belgium. More than 150 persons feel brave enough to enter the pumpkin race. The goal is to cross the finish first with your four-man team in this relay race. Dare to enter? You can compete in the following categories: children (12-18 years), women, men and mixed.
Spectators will not be bored either. On land, there is a variety of treats and children’s animation.
